How do I create an account?

Is it free to create an account?

Yes. Browsing, watching, and creating an account are all free. Buyers pay a buyer’s premium only when they win an auction. Sellers may pay a listing fee, quoted up-front before submission.

Do I need an account to browse auctions?

No. We believe in letting you see the inventory — past and present auctions — without an account. This way you can decide if the listings are up your alley before anything else. An account is required to bid, comment, ask questions, or save items to your watchlist.

How does bidding work?

Bidding is straightforward. Enter any amount above the current bid, then confirm. If there is time remaining, you will be the highest bidder. The amount you bid is immediately displayed as the winning bid, rather than being hidden in a "proxy bid" or "sealed-bid" style auction. Each bid is binding and cannot be retracted.

Does the platform charge my card when I place a bid?

No. When you place a bid, Stripe authorizes only a small refundable deposit on your card - not the full buyer’s premium, and never the bid or auction amount. If you are outbid, the deposit hold is released automatically. If you win, the deposit is captured and the remaining buyer’s premium is charged to complete the fee.

What is a "no reserve" auction?

In a no-reserve auction, the highest bid wins regardless of the final price. Reserve auctions have a hidden minimum that, if met, the seller must accept; if it is not met, neither party is obligated to complete the sale.

What happens if I bid near the end of an auction?

Any bid placed in the final 2 minutes extends the auction by 2 minutes. The extension can repeat as long as bidding continues, so a last-second bid never wins by surprise.

Can I cancel a bid?

No. All bids are binding. Confirm the amount, the buyer’s premium, and the total before you commit.

What is the minimum bid increment?

The minimum increment scales with the current price: $10 under $500, $25 under $1,000, $100 under $10,000, $250 under $50,000, and $500 at $50,000 or above. The bid form always shows the smallest amount you can enter.

I won an auction. What happens next?

You will receive a confirmation with the seller’s contact details. Stripe will finalize the buyer’s premium and you will settle the auction price for the vehicle directly with the seller, along with shipping or pickup arrangements.

Is there a buyer’s premium?

Yes. Winning buyers pay a buyer’s premium on top of the winning bid. The current rate, minimum, and maximum are shown directly on every auction’s bid box and confirmation step.

How is payment for the auction price handled?

The buyer’s premium is processed by Stripe (we never see your full card number). The auction price itself is paid directly to the seller — typically by bank wire, cashier’s check, or escrow for larger transactions. We recommend secure payment methods for high-value items.

How is shipping handled?

Shipping is arranged between the buyer and seller. The buyer is usually responsible for shipping costs unless the listing states otherwise. Many buyers use professional auto-transport services. The seller may include details about availability and access to the vehicle in the listing. If you have doubts, you can reach out to the seller regarding shipping while the auction is live.

How do you verify sellers?

Sellers must verify a phone number and a Stripe-backed payment method before they can list. Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live, and seller history is visible on each listing.

What if an item is not as described?

Accepted Answer

Contact us as soon as possible. We take material misrepresentation seriously and will help mediate disputes. Persistent fraud or misrepresentation results in account suspension.

Are the vehicles inspected?

We do not independently inspect vehicles. Sellers must disclose known issues, service history, and title status. We strongly recommend a vehicle history report and/or a pre-purchase inspection on high-value items.
